Options

In the Spring Term of Year 9, students are given the opportunity to personalise their learning ready for Key Stage 4. All students are required to follow the CORE curriculum of English, Maths, Science, PE, PSHE and Religious Education but are then able to also choose four additional subjects to study. This allows them to explore their interests and begin shaping pathways that will support their future ambitions. Students can choose from a diverse range of subjects (these may be subject to change), designed to offer both academic and creative options.

All information about the Options process is shared with parents during the Spring Term, giving students and their families time to consider choices carefully. Final subject selections are then confirmed in the Summer Term.
