Anti-Bullying Week 2019

This week marks Anti-Bullying Week, a national initiative that runs every year in schools across the country. This year the focus is on Change Starts With Us.

Small change. Big difference.

Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact on a child’s life well in to adulthood. By making small, simple changes, we can break this cycle and create a safe environment for everyone. Because together, we can challenge bullying. Change starts with a conversation. It starts with checking in. It starts with work together.

Change starts here.
Change starts now.
Change starts with us.

Throughout the week students have been working on numerous anti-bullying activities during Literacy, incorporating these ideas into other lessons as well. Student Council has been looking at the initiative in more detail, and will soon present their findings to the rest of the school. Miss Boulton did an assembly and four amazing students from 9J filmed a short news report to promote the importance of Standing Up against bullying.
