Glebe School has an official school uniform, which we ask parents to conform to for children
up to and including year 11. Parents/Carers facing financial difficulty over school clothes or
PE/Games Kit should contact the Head Teacher or the Education Welfare Officer, who will
advise in strict confidence.
There is no specific style of clothing recommended or any special shop from which to
purchase the clothing. Parents are simply asked to provide the following, in accepted styles
of school clothing in the school colours: -
. Plain navy blue cardigan, jumper or sweatshirt (without logos)
. Grey/black trousers or skirt
. Plain white or pale blue shirt/blouse (without logos)
. Black shoes (not trainers)
A top coat is needed for every child and parents/carers are asked to ensure their children have
suitable footwear for varying weather conditions.
If children do not come to school in appropriate school uniform on any particular day,
they will be required to change into uniform provided by the school. The clothing is
always clean. Any child refusing to change will not be allowed into lessons and parents
will be contacted.
Year 11 pupils may wear suitable non-uniform when they are in attendance at the local
Colleges of Further Education on Link Courses but must wear the appropriate uniform whilst

Shorts/Tracksuit bottoms Boots for outdoor sport.
Plimsolls or trainers
Towel- for showering Swimming:Costume and towel,
Change of underwear if wished Hat for long hair
All items of clothing and kit, including the bag in which the kit is carried, must be indelibly
labelled with the child's name.
